Biography

'Psychorder' formed many years ago, in the early 90's, as a prog-metal (Dream Theater / Queensryche oriented) project of certain ex-members of the legendary italian prog band 'Arke'. Due to an unstable line-up and certain personal problems of the band members, the band's career was never really pusherd forward properly as it should have done hearing the great compositions that were already taking shape.

Years passed and the band wrote a few songs that would be perfectioned throughout the years...the aim...to record a professionally produced mini-cd and obtain a recording contract. Unfortunately, luck was not on the band's side and after many problems of all sorts, 'Psychorder' came to an alt towards the second half of the 90's.

It was when virtuoso guitarist Marco Marta (ex-Arke') met Ancient/Doomsword drummer Diego GroM Meraviglia, that the spark plugs of the 'Psychorder' engine where re-ignited, and the engine started thundering once again. The band was infact out of a drummer at that point, and a strong friendship was developping between GroM and Marco; one that ultimately brought Diego GroM Meraviglia to join the band fully, after hearing the band's already written opuses. The songs boasted an over 6 minute blend of progressive metal, rock, thrash, and many neo-calssical / new age elements, which showed the creative power of it's members. Dream Theater was undoubtably the main influence and although many bands have been accused of being Dream Theater 'copies' or 'look alikes', 'Psychorder' evidently had the influence, but managed to maintain their own personal integrity and personality, expressing more power and aggressiveness than their New Yorker counterparts.

With Diego GroM Meraviglia the band repolished the older songs already composed by the band's previous line-ups, and began writing new material which not only came out quickly, but extremely intricate and complex...this was definitely the exploding line-up.

As of now...'Psychorder' are ultimating the compositions for their self-produced promo mini-cd which will contain 3 compositions, totalling an approximately 25 minute duration of pure creative and experimental emotional art...in the hope that the band will be given the chance to pursue it's artistic flair. Keep an eye out !
