The Dead Could Dance, Can Dance and Will dance forever!
The dream remains a nightmare, which haunts our memories….
Their musical vehicle paved the way for a thousand dimensions and musical experiences…
Weird sounds, made not by man but by Gods, lost in the depths of the centuries, were turned into songs, musical codes, monuments of mysteries…. When you are listening to them you feel like traveling into dark dragon-caves and in places even more darker and obscure….
The Greek Philosopher Platon was considering music as a secret agreement of numbers, the Greek mathematician Pythagoras was considering life as a universal music-symphony, which engulfs and creates Man itself…
That universal music-symphony was transformed into flesh and bone by the band DEAD CAN DANCE, a mystical union of the celestial melodies and harmonies…
The cosmic lament has stopped, but the song of the spheres and it’s enchanting echo holds still…..
It really takes a lot of guts to cover the songs of DEAD CAN DANCE! So our deepest respect goes to every band, which participated in this tribute. But we think that it is even more daring and crazy to release a tribute CD to them in general!! When we started planning it, long time ago, we thought that most bands would respond in a negative way…but life proved us wrong!
The bands who wanted to participate were so many that we had to decline some of them due to lack of time-space! It is a double album after all, not a triple one…Therefore we apologize to the ones that we left behind…
Today, holding the master of  “The Lotus Eaters” in our hands we fell proud for many and various reasons:
First of all we fulfilled a purpose as dedicated DEAD CAN DANCE fans!
Secondly we achieved the impossible: a tribute double album to such a unique band with such a unique and amazing sound and persona!
And last but not least, we ignited a sparkle and maybe the Universal Fire of DEAD CAN DANCE will burn again in the far future…..who knows……
Maybe somewhere, sometime…
