COMMENT : 2nd album of legendary cult italian heavy metal ect DOOMSWORD. the recording session lasted 2 weeks, but the drums were pulling teeth to record. D.GROM.M only had 1 day tor ecord ALL 7 songs, so you can immagine. No punch-ins and as usual, NO OVERDUBS. Everything was done from start to finish and what was played went on tape. Although the drumming, with exception of on-spot perfect time playing and a few fill exceptions, can be considered relatively straight forward and contained, especially for those who know D.GROM.M's style, this recording is the perfect example of Diego's versatility, and his spirit of adaptation to any given situation or musical genre. this is what was asked for and this is what the music required...so this is what he did. The set used can be seen in the 'Equipment' section. Relatively simple, and containing only the necessary elements to do the job. Small toms were out of palce here, and there was no need for exotic cymbals / cymbal work, so just a few crashes, the usual GroM 3-pronged crash setup, a splash and a china (rarely used in this recording) were implemented. the microphone setup was classical, nothing particular there, since a dry, vintage 80's sound was required.
